The College is a registered tertiary level institution with the Accreditation Council of Trinidad & Tobago (ACTT) and is strategically well-positioned to provide specialist training in HSE, consistent with the requirements of the OSH Act 2006

Additionally, the objectives of our academic programmes will contribute to the  vision of the national development thrust. The overall programmes are executed through the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), which is based in the UK. NEBOSH was founded in 1979 as an Independent awarding body attracting 15,000 candidates each year. It has a solid, professional reputation and is the leading body of its kind in the UK and Europe.

Our College, which is the only Academic Institution of its kind in Trinidad and Tobago and, by extension, the Caribbean, provides a range of HSE related programmes for those wishing to gain certification in these disciplines. We are currently offering the NEBOSH National General Certificate and Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, and our other training facilities at San Fernando, Mayaro and Tobago. In terms of our future training programmes we will be offering the NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health and Safety and Fire Safety and Risk Management as well as the NEBOSH Diploma in Emergency Management & Disaster Preparedness.Our website will provide relevant and additional information regarding existing and future programmes.
